Tauni MorisettTauni Morisett is a Registered Veterinary Technician who has been a member of the Hearthstone Animal Clinic staff since August of 2005, but began her career in companion animal care in 1996. In addition to her years of experience, she received an Associate's degree in Science from Tomball College in 2005 and is registered to practice in the state of Texas.

Tauni offers quite a bit of comic relief during our work day and says, “I like working here because we treat our clients like royalty when we first meet them and like family every day afterward. I also like being able to help sick babies get better and back into their loving owner’s arms.”

At home, Tauni has a Border Collie named Amiya, Papillion mix named Smudge, two cats named Tigger and Squirrel, and a gerbil named Joe-Joe. Her interests include keeping her 1977 Chevy Malibu Classic running.

Roxanne DoriaVeterinary Technician Roxanne Doria has been with Hearthstone Animal Clinic since June of 2008 and working within the companion animal care field since 2005. She also has a Master’s degree in Business Administration.

Roxanne is known around here for being very organized and always maintaining a positive attitude. When asked what she enjoys most about her time with Hearthstone, she says, “I love working here because of our wonderful veterinarian, Dr. Pelton, and my wonderful coworkers. Everyone here is very caring and are animal lovers.”

Roxanne’s pets include a Miniature Poodle named Oliver and an orange tabby cat named Darla. Her interests include being outside, playing tennis, swimming, cooking and baking, going to the movies, and visiting new places around Houston.

Mary de JonahMary is Hearthstone Animal Clinic’s receptionist and has been with us since July of 2002. In addition to her many years with us, she has a Bachelor of Arts in Family Services from Eastern Illinois University.

An actual expert at being friendly as well as helping provide superior service to our clients, Mary says, “I love our clinic because we truly love our clients and their animals. I brag often to our clients that we are lucky to have Dr. Pelton; he is an outstanding person and doctor. Also, as an all-female staff, we get along beautifully. We are like family, basically.”

Mary’s animal family includes a Lab named Flower and eight cats named Big Guy, Bear, Bandit, Handsome Man, Little Girl, Opie, Queenie, and Wild Eyes. Her interests include fitness and health as well as biking, gardening, live music, travel and being as active as possible.

JennyJenny is one of our Veterinary Technicians and has been with Hearthstone Animal Clinic since August of 2007, but began her career in companion animal care in 2000.

Jenny always has a positive attitude and is an ace at drawing blood. “I have worked with Dr. Pelton for a long time,” she says. “He is a very nice person and the people I work with are like a family to me. I know too that we all care about our patients and love making them feel better, which makes their owners happy, and makes me feel pretty good.”

Jenny has two Pitbulls named Tator and Boudin, Chihuahua named Sancho, and a cat named Tritan. Her interests include working out, swimming, anything outdoors, eating out, and watching movies.
